Parachute Advansed Coconut Creme Oil Review

This product has been in the market for few months now. Well i was definitely living under a rock as i discovered it just few days back while doing my grocery shopping in a super market.

Anyway, the moment i saw it, i was so intrigued to try it (blame my dry and frizzy hair for it). It is available in two variants, 60ml and 150ml and I got myself the smaller one as i first wanted to try if it works for me.

Price: 60ml bottle costed me 49 Rs. and 150 ml retails for 120 Rs.

What product claims?

Nourishing your hair just got even more convenient with the new Parachute Advanced Coconut Creme Oil. It is a unique blend of nourishing Coconut oil & light Coconut milk which makes it light & so quick to absorb! It nourishes your hair in just 30 minutes and fits in perfectly with your modern lifestyle, making oiling possible every time before your shampoo. Now your hair won’t miss out on the much needed nourishment , ever! What’s more? Unlike hair oils, you don’t need multiple washes- It washes off easily in just 1 shampoo!

  • Goes 10 layers deep to condition your hair thoroughly
  • Absorbs quickly into the hair
  • Great for coloured and treated hair
  • Has a delightful fragrance
  • Gives the required nourishment in just 30 minutes
  • Suitable for all hair types

Directions to use?

  • Take about 4-5 pumps of the product and apply on your scalp and through the lengths of your hair.
  • Shampoo your hair as you normally would. It only takes one cleanse to wash off completely.

Packaging / Texture / Consistency:

The smaller bottle that i picked comes with a nozzle to dispense the product while the bigger one comes with a convenient pump packaging. The bottle is made of plastic and is not too bulky. The texture of the product is very lightweight and not too heavy or oily. The product is a slightly yellowish coloured cream which has a medium thick consistency. The fragrance of the product is very mild and refreshing and lingers for quite some time.

My Experience with the Parachute Advansed Coconut Creme Oil:

I am a working women. In my hectic schedule i almost never get time to oil my hair before washing them. Even though i so want to do it as i know the benefits of oiling the hair regularly and also because i have dry and frizzy hair.

The fact that this product can be used as a replacement for our good old ‘champi’, made me buy it immediately without even giving it a second thought.

I use this product in two ways:

  1. I apply it to my scalp and lengths, leave it on for around 30 minutes and wash it off. It comes off easily in just one wash as it is a non sticky cream as opposed to normal hair oil.
  2. Sometimes i just take a little bit of this product and apply to my damp hair, only through the lengths of the hair.

In both case i have observed that it helps in taming my hair beautifully. It fights all the frizz in my hair and make them more manageable.

Even though i am really impressed with the performance of this product, i want to mention the fact that this product contains chemicals. You can avoid this on the scalp to avoid damage to the roots.

I have used the Pantene Pro-V Oil Replacement also in the past and ended up liking that too. Honestly i feel both of them do a very similar job. You can choose any one out of them.

To sum up:

  • Affordable
  • Easily available
  • Easy to use
  • Convenient packaging
  • Not oily or greasy
  • Mild fragrance
  • Tames Frizziness and makes hair manageable

  • Contains chemicals

Biotique Bio Cucumber Pore Tightening Toner Review

Before starting with the review let’s understand what are the benefits of using a toner in our skincare routine.

  • It shrinks pores
  • It restores the skin’s pH balance
  • Refreshes the skin

I always used rosewater as a toner but my new discovered love for Biotique products made me go for this toner.

Let’s find out whether i like this toner as much as i like other Biotique products that i have tried.

This refreshing, pore tightening toner is blended with cucumber, coriander, nutgalls, berberry, peppermint oil and the fresh waters found in the foothills of the Himalayas. The Biotique Bio Cucumber Pore Tightening Toner is formulated to bring the complexion into perfect pH balance and helps keep skin in its purest state.

  • It tightens the pores and reduces its appearance
  • Softens and smoothen skin texture, giving a youthful radiance
  • It is suitable for normal to oily skin types
  • Organically Pure & preservative free

The product comes in a white translucent plastic bottle with a green screw open cap. It has a nozzle on top to dispense the product. The nozzle is quite wide and often you might end up pouring more product than actually required. All the important stuff like ingredient list, expiry date, directions for usage are written on the bottle itself.

Consistency and color: The toner is of a light green color. It has a very strong astringent scent which i am not a big fan off. I would prefer a subtle soothing fragrance over this strong spirit like smell.

My Experience with ‘Biotique Bio Cucumber Toner’:

I use it everyday in my night CTM routine. I first remove all my makeup using a makeup remover. Then wash my face with a face wash followed by applying this toner. I leave it on my skin for some time and then apply my night cream/ serum. As soon as I apply it, I feel a slight cooling effect. I have a dry skin and this does not feel drying or stretchy on my face at all. I don’t have large pores on my face so i cannot talk about the pour tightening aspect.

Overall i can say it is good affordable toner if you are not specifically looking for pore tightening aspect.

  • All natural ingredients
  • Soothing/ cooling effect on skin (refreshes skin)
  • Didn’t cause any breakouts
  • Affordable

  • Strong smell
  • Not sure about the pore tightening aspect

I hope this review was helpful for you.

MCaffeine Uplift Trance Caffeine Face Cream Review

Recently I was seeing a lot of hype about this brand ‘MCaffeine’ in the beauty community and i decided to give it a shot.

MCaffeine is India’s first caffeine infused personal care brand and that is what intrigued me even more.

Caffeine is not only a mind booster but it also has great benefits for improving your skin and hair. How? Here are some ways:

  • Fights free radicals
  • Soothes inflammation
  • Reduces under eye dark circles
  • Repairs UV damage
  • Treatment for hairloss
  • Stimulates hair growth

To test out i picked up the ‘MCaffeine Uplift Trance Caffeine Face Cream’. Did it live upto my expectations? Keep reading to find out.

What the brand claims:

  • Moisturizing face cream to hydrate your face all day long.
  • The cream fights free radicals to give that everlasting fresh glow to your face.
  • Invigorating green apple fragrance.
  • Paraben free. Not tested on animals.

Price: Rs. 349 for 50ml (Available only in one size)

Buy it from

Vitamin E, Argan Oil, Caffeine, Licorice extract, Calendula extract, Sea weed, Glycerine, Cream base, Aqua, Approved preservatives/fragrance/color.

The product comes in a transparent glass tub with silver screw open cap. It is packed inside a deep pink cardboard box along with a small wooden spatula.

It is a white coloured cream. The consistency is neither too thin nor too thick.

The fragrance is quite mild and refreshing although it is far away from the claimed green apple fragrance.

My Experience with ‘MCaffeine Uplift Trance Caffeine Face Cream’:

I am not a big fan of this packaging. First because it is a tub which is pretty unhygienic to use. I always prefer tube or a pump over tub Packaging. I agree that they have put in some thoughts into this aspect and provided a wooden spatula to scoop out the product but that’s not the most convenient option as per me.

Secondly, because it is glass tub, i always have a fear of it slipping from my hands. Also, because it is glass it feels a bit bulky and definitely not the best option to travel with.

I use this cream every morning. It gets absorbed in the skin immediately leaving it soft and smooth. It is lightweight and feels almost like a gel on the skin. I love the fragrance as it is very refreshing and subtle. However it does not stay for long.

It mattifies the face and does not feel greasy at all. I have dry skin but not extremely dry, so throughout the day too my face doesn’t feel oily or shiny. I usually apply a BB cream on daily basis on top of this cream and i have noticed that it helps my BB cream to stick to my face better.

Overall, i like this cream as a daily lightweight day cream and would definitely recommend it to all skin types.

Note: if a product suits someone it will not necessarily suit you as well. Hence It is advisable to always do a patch test before using a product.

  • Lightweight
  • Gets absorbed quickly
  • Contains ingredients like caffeine, Vitamin E and Argan Oil which are great for skin
  • Refreshing Fragrance

  • Inconvenient glass packaging
  • Unhygienic tub packaging
  • Not travel friendly
